Morris Homes launched zero carbon homes in Peterborough
Award-winning housebuilder Morris Homes has launched the first phase of unique zero carbon properties at its landmark Peterborough development. Morris’ flagship Vista development, which is on Cripple Sidings in the city’s South Bank area, will feature 295 energy efficient homes upon completion. The properties at the site are designed to feature a range of carbon cutting resources, including combination boilers and solar and rainwater harvesting, which will reduce long-term costs for homeowners.
3e undertook a comprehensive study of all available engineering information for the site, including geotechnical, STAT services, foul and surface water sewers, flood plain levels, etc., to produce a detailed constraints plan for the new development. This document was used to inform/advise the Architect and client on the most efficient, cost advantageous over-all site layout, together with appropriate new site levels. The levels being set to suit site remediation requirements, to mitigate possible flood levels and drainage attenuation .
