Former railway land in Peterborough for a 295 plot housing development for Morris Homes Ltd.  

The project involved a comprehensive review of previous site investigations, including soil and groundwater contamination assessment and additional geotechnical investigation works. This was followed by preparation of a remediation strategy for the site and agreement with the local authority and Environment Agency. This necessitated further groundwater monitoring in line with Environment Agency recommendations.  

3e were involved in supervising the remediation which required placement of imported clean capping in gardens and incorporation of a combined gas/hydrocarbon vapour barrier, as well as civil and structural design works.
