3e has worked with GMI Construction Group Plc on the redevelopment of a former colliery and industrial site in Clay Cross for Tesco Stores Ltd and an associated retail, health centre and bus station development.

The project comprised a desk study, including a review of previous reports, extensive site investigations, an assessment of former ironstone mining followed by preparation of a remediation strategy for site and agreement with the local authority and Environment Agency.  3e oversaw the remediation of the site which included segregation and removal of soils, stabilisation of mine working, validation of the removal of underground fuel tanks and validation of landscaping capping as well as earthworks validation
