Each of the hi-spec apartments is unique and was built using traditional masonry construction rather than timber or modular pods, based on a cost and programme.

The accommodation also provides spacious communal areas.

Acheived a BREEAM Very Good rating.


Pure Hammersmith

This high quality living and working environment provides 418 bespoke, self-contained studio apartments as well as generous communal areas, leisure and retail facilities, external amenity space, with disabled and cycle parking.  The accommodation is spread over three new buildings, a nine storey block set behind a central courtyard, with two smaller blocks facing Shepherds Bush Road.

The construction consisted of a combination of reinforced concrete and fully welded SHS steel framed stability cores  with light gauge modular construction for all accommodation levels.

The Foundry, Clarence Street

A high quality five storey building situated close to the city centre of Newcastle, consisting of a mixture of 54 studio flats 150 en-suite bedrooms and two accessible en-suite bedrooms with associated shared living space and kitchens.

The construction consists of light gauge steel frame modular construction, fully factory built including all fittings and decoration.

3e Consulting Engineers provided full structural designs for the complete superstructure including all member and modular elements.

The Shield, Stoddart Street, Shieldfield

New 409-bedroom student accommodation on a site previously occupied by light industrial buildings and a brick-built office and warehouse.

The development comprising a mix of self-contained studio flats and en-suite bedrooms with shared kitchens, is set out over three connecting blocks rising to seven storeys, spanning the area between Stoddart Street and Clarence Street in the east of the city.


Vita, Strawberry Place

Development on land close to Newcastle United’s St James Park.  The 9 storey building  includes 332 bed student accommodation with associated student hub/communal areas to the ground floor and basement. 

The building is a mixed reinforced concrete/steel framed construction to create a level of transfer deck.  This supports a lightweight steel frame/concrete floor construction to the upper levels for the apartments.
