The Orchard Centre was completed in November 2009 and is the 6th of Citycare’s proposed lift programme that has gone into operation. The £14 million purpose built facility provides consulting and treatment rooms over 3 storeys, for residents of Hull’s Northern area.

The structure comprises a steel frame on piled foundations. The ground floor is a suspended reinforced concrete slab, 1st and 2nd floors are of composite construction. The lower roof, at 2nd floor encompasses an ETFE membrane structure, over the central atrium area, and a green roof, the design of which facilitates future expansion of the building with the addition of another level of offices. The upper roof is steel frame with Trocal membrane. Elevations include traditional cavity walls with glass blocks, trespa panelling and glazed curtain walling.
