Conversion of a 19th Century, seven storey, former waterside woollen mill into 129 luxury apartments, including swimming pool, sauna, spa and fitness suite for residents on the ground floor.

3e services involved assessments of the capacity of the existing construction in cast/wrought iron, timber and masonry.  Modifications to the existing structure were required to comply with requirements for progressive collapse and to incorporate extra floor and lift services.

The scheme won the Northern National House Building Councils Pride in the Job award.

The second phase of the development consisted of a further 251 apartments, 49 in each of the two pavilions and a 153 in an extension to the existing building.  Apartments were built to the highest specifications, with some cantilevered balconies extending over the river and weir.  An external glass backed lift gives magnificent views over the town centre and canals.
