Bridon Ropes Wallsend

Bridon Neptune Quay is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility designed to produce the largest and complex ropes in the world. 3e were commissioned to design a 15.0m high building with plan size approximately 68m x 190m long to accommodate the new manufacturing facility for Bridon Ropes. 

Clipper Windpower, Wallsend

The 20m high facility accommodates the fabrication of the vanes for a giant wind turbine destined for the North Sea off the coast at Blyth, Northumberland. 

3e carried out ground investigations then designed and validated the remediation of the former Neptune Shipyard site.

The scheme includes a steel framed structure, contiguous piled retained walls and extensive external hardstandings.

Duco Building, Walker

Office extension for a manufacturing plant on Walker riverside which supplies umbilical’s for the off-shore gas and oil industries.  

The redevelopment included extending an existing vacant warehouse building.  The extension included a new mezzanine floor along with new roller shutter doors and external hardstanding.

Logic Park, Leeds

Logic Leeds is the only opportunity for large scale bespoke warehouse/industrial accommodation with proximity to both the city centre & the M1 motorway. The 40 hectare (120 acre) site will also provide a number of new office buildings, hotel & supporting amenities.

Tees Valley Renewable Energy Facility, Teesside

3e are involved in the development of the world’s largest renewable energy plant in the UK using advanced plasma gasification energy-from-waste technology (EfW) on Teesside.  

The plant is expected to produce enough reliable, controllable and renewable electricity to power up to 100,000 homes.

Designed to divert up to700,000 metric tons of non-recyclable waste from landfill and offer an environmentally friendly solution for the production of electricity thereby helping the country and region to achieve renewable energy targets and reduce landfill.

Thorn Lighting, Spennymoor

New factory and offices for Thorn Lighting. In addition the project includes a factory and offices for Thorn’s sister company, Tridonics.

The project comprises a 230,000 sq ft factory for Thorn plus 80,000 sq ft on two floors providing offices, laboratories, testing facilities and an Academy of Light. The attached Tridonics facility comprises a 41,500 sq ft factory and 10,500 sq ft of offices. The shell contract was worth approximately £12M.

TWI Middlesbrough

3e provided Structural, Civil and Geotechnical services for construction of a new two storey office and training facility.

The building includes a single storey main hall which is split into two separate areas, each with an overhead crane.  The smaller hall includes a 10m sq. dive tank offering stat-of-the-art training in welding, inspection, non-destructive testing and underwater techniques alongside full research and consultancy services.
