Callendar Court – Gateshead
Housing 21 and Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council joined forces to redevelop a 1960s, twelve storey residential block in Gateshead and commissioned 3e to provide structural engineering services.
Callendar Court now provides forty homes in an extra care scheme for older people able to live in their own homes but who need additional care and support. The scheme also offers a range of additional facilities for residents and people living locally. This includes a restaurant, a hairdressers and a shop. All apartments incorporate SMART sensing technology.
