Morrison’s Regional Distribution Centre
3e provided geo-environmental, civil and structural engineering design for Wm Morrison’s Regional Distribution Centre at Latimer Park, Kettering.
This technically demanding project involved moving 4,000,000m³ of earth during the Winter and design of an 80,000m² building, incorporating chilled warehouse, bread and grocery warehouse and ancillary structures. 3e designed ground improvement techniques to normalise the conditions of a steeply sloping open cast ironstone quarry site. The project was completed on time and below budget despite inclement winter conditions.
